Milo and the Lightning Goldfish

Milo was sitting on his bed when something strange happened. His iPhone flickered with purple light, and suddenly—zap!—a tiny goldfish swam right through the glass screen!

"Hello!" said the goldfish, who glowed like a miniature lightning bolt. "I'm Finn! I come from the Electric Kingdom, where fish swim through lightning instead of water!"

Milo's eyes widened. "But how are you here? And how do I help you get home?"

Finn wiggled his golden tail. "I need three things. First—spinach! It's the most powerful food in the Electric Kingdom. It gives us the energy to swim through storms!"

Milo rushed to the kitchen and grabbed a handful of fresh green spinach leaves from the refrigerator. His mom was cooking dinner and didn't mind sharing a little.

"Second!" Finn continued after eating the spinach and glowing even brighter, "I need a special cable to connect your world to mine!"

Milo looked around his room and spotted his old charging cable behind his desk. He held it up, and Finn swam right through it, leaving a trail of sparkling lights!

"Now," said Finn, "for the last part—I need you to believe! Close your eyes and imagine lightning turning into water!"

Milo squeezed his eyes shut. He pictured bolts of lightning softening into gentle streams. He imagined Finn swimming home through glowing rivers of light.

CRACK! A tiny lightning bolt appeared in Milo's room, right above his iPhone. Finn swam through it, turning into pure golden light.

"Thank you, Milo!" Finn's voice echoed like distant thunder. "Remember—magic lives in the most unexpected places! Even in spinach! Even in cables! Even in friends who believe!"

Milo's iPhone screen returned to normal. But sometimes, when storms pass through the sky, Milo thinks he sees a tiny goldfish swimming through the lightning, winking at him like a secret between friends.

And now, whenever Milo eats spinach, he feels a little spark of magic inside—like he could swim through lightning too.
