Miko and the Golden Pyramid
Miko was no ordinary cat. While most cats ran from water, Miko loved it. Every morning, he would dip his paws in the stream behind his house and watch the ripples dance.
One sunny day, something sparkled beneath the surface. Miko leaned closer and gasped. Deep below, a tiny pyramid glowed with golden light. Without thinking, he plunged into the cool water.
Down he swam, deeper and deeper, until he reached the mysterious pyramid. Inside sat a magnificent goldfish with scales like sunset clouds.
"You found me!" the goldfish bubbled happily. "I've been waiting for a brave friend."
Miko's eyes went wide. "You can talk?"
"Magic water makes many things possible," the goldfish said. "My name is Finley. This pyramid protects my home. But I'm lonely — no one ever visits."
Miko's heart felt warm. "I'll visit you every day!"
Finley swam excitedly. "Wait! I have something to share." From behind a golden pillar, Finley produced the most beautiful fruit Miko had ever seen — a bright orange papaya.
"It's my favorite," Finley said. "Will you share it with me?"
Miko nodded. Together, the cat and fish enjoyed the sweet papaya while fish swam around them in rainbow colors. Miko realized the best treasure wasn't gold — it was finding a friend in the most unexpected place.
From that day on, Miko and Finley shared papaya and stories every afternoon. And whenever anyone asked why a cat loved water so much, Miko would simply smile and say, "That's where my best friend lives."
