Max's Magic Vitamin

Lily's golden dog Max wasn't ordinary, though nobody knew it yet. Every afternoon, they played fetch in Sunny Park, where Max would chase his tennis ball into the most mysterious corners.

One Tuesday, Max returned from the bushes wagging his tail furiously. Between his teeth he held something glowing—a bright purple vitamin that sparkled like fairy dust.

"Max! Drop that!" Lily cried, worried.

But Max swallowed it in one gulp.

Nothing happened for a moment. Then Max's hair began to change color. First blue, then pink, then golden like sunshine! His tail wagged so fast it became a blur.

"Max, your hair!" Lily gasped. "You're magical now!"

Max nodded wisely. He could now hear whispers from miles away. The neighborhood needed a secret spy, and Max was perfect for the job.

That evening, Max's hair turned blue—someone was sad! He led Lily three blocks away to Mrs. Chen's house. Their elderly neighbor sat alone, crying over a broken photo frame.

Max licked her hand. His hair glowed warm pink.

"Oh Max!" Mrs. Chen smiled through tears. "I needed a friend today."

Lily helped glue the frame while Max kept his chin on Mrs. Chen's knee. By the time they left, Max's hair shone bright yellow—happy color!

The next day, Max's hair turned green and raced toward the playground. Little Timmy had lost his favorite dinosaur toy.

Max's nose twitched. He followed an invisible trail behind the slide, around the swings, and into a bush where the dinosaur hid.

"MAX!" Timmy hugged the dog tight. "You're the best spy ever!"

Lily smiled, watching Max's hair turn rainbow-bright. The magic vitamin had given him a special gift—not super speed or laser eyes, but the ability to find those who needed help most.

"You're not just a dog anymore," Lily whispered, scratching behind his ears. "You're a friendship spy."

Max barked in agreement. His hair glowed golden, the color of a heart full of love.

Every day after school, Max and Lily went on secret spy missions. Some days they helped lonely neighbors. Other days they found lost toys or made sad friends smile again.

The best part? Nobody ever suspected the spy was a dog with rainbow hair and a heart of gold.
