Max and the Water Dog
Max sat under the swaying palm tree, watching the waves. He missed his dog, Buster, who had disappeared three days ago.
"I wish I could find you," Max whispered, clutching Buster's favorite toy.
Suddenly, something shiny caught his eye in the shallow water. It was an iPhone, glowing strangely even though it was completely submerged. Max reached in and pulled it out.
The screen flickered to life, showing a video: Buster running toward the palm tree, then vanishing into a pool of water that appeared from nowhere.
Max gasped. The iPhone showed a map to a hidden cove behind the palm tree. Following the glowing path, he discovered a magical lagoon filled with sparkling water.
There, playing joyfully in the waves, was Buster—but now he was a water dog! His fur shimmered like sunlight dancing on the ocean, and he left wet paw prints that turned into tiny fish.
"Buster!" Max cried.
The water dog bounded over, nuzzling Max's face. His cold fur felt wonderful in the heat.
A voice echoed from the iPhone: "Buster was chosen by the sea to protect the creatures of the deep. But water dogs need human friends too."
Max visited every day, learning to swim alongside his magical companion. They rescued tangled turtles and freed trapped fish, teaching Max that true friendship means letting someone follow their destiny, even if it changes them.
Now, whenever Max sits under the palm tree, Buster emerges from the waves, leaving trails of silver magic and reminding Max that love transcends all worlds—wet or dry.
