Max and the Magic Pyramid

Max loved exploring the attic with his golden retriever, Buster. One rainy Saturday, they found something peculiar buried under old boxes—a thick, dusty cable that seemed to glow faintly.

"This looks like magic," Max whispered. Buster wagged his tail excitedly.

Max followed the cable through the attic window, down the side of the house, and into the garden. To his surprise, the cable disappeared into the ground near the old oak tree, where a small stone pyramid had mysteriously appeared overnight.

The pyramid sparkled with rainbow colors, and Max felt drawn to it. His nose twitched as he smelled something strange—like old cookies and midnight skies.

"Hello?" Max called, stepping inside.

The pyramid was bigger on the inside! Glowing crystals lined the walls, and in the center sat a friendly zombie named Zim, who was reading a book about friendship.

"I've been waiting for someone to visit," Zim said, his green face crinkling into a smile. "Would you like to play?"

Max wasn't scared at all. He could feel that Zim was kind. "Yes! Can Buster come too?"

"Of course!" Zim cheered.

They played magical games for hours. Zim taught Max how to make crystals sing, and Max showed Zim how to play fetch with Buster.

"Why were you alone?" Max asked gently.

Zim sighed. "Everyone was afraid of me because I'm a zombie. But I just wanted a friend."

Max's heart squeezed. "That's not fair. You're the funniest person I've met!"

From that day on, Max visited Zim every week. He learned that true friends look at hearts, not appearances. The mysterious cable had led him to the best adventure ever—a friendship that would last forever.

And sometimes, when Max looked at the old oak tree, he could still see the rainbow pyramid shimmering in the sunlight, reminding him that magic exists for those who believe.
