Max and the Magic Pool
Max loved Saturday mornings, especially when he could play padel with his friends at the park. His golden retriever, Buster, would always chase the balls, barking happily as they bounced off the walls.
But this Saturday was different. Buster kept pulling at Max's shorts, whining and running toward the dense woods behind their house.
"What is it, boy?" Max asked, grabbing his leash. "Show me!"
Buster led Max deep into the forest until they discovered something magical—a glowing blue pool hidden among the trees. The water sparkled like diamonds, and tiny lights danced above its surface.
"Wow," Max whispered.
Suddenly, the ground rumbled. Funny green creatures popped up from the flowers—they looked like little zombies, but instead of being scary, they were dancing and playing instruments! They weren't monsters at all—they were the magical garden guardians who protected the special pool.
One zombie creature, who seemed to be the leader, approached Max. He wore a tiny flower crown and carried a padel racket made of leaves.
"Welcome, young friend!" the creature squeaked happily. "We're the Zom-Buds! We protect the Magic Dream Pool!"
"The Magic Dream Pool?" Max asked, his eyes wide.
"Yes!" the Zom-Bud explained. "One sip gives you wonderful dreams. But only those with pure hearts can find it. And only true friends can share its magic."
Buster wagged his tail so hard his whole body wiggled. The Zom-Buds giggled and offered Max and his dog a drink from a cup made of woven grass.
That night, Max had the most amazing dream—he and Buster flew among the stars, playing padel on the moon while friendly Zom-Buds cheered them on.
When Max woke up, he found a tiny flower crown on his pillow and a note: "Thank you for visiting, friend. Remember, magic exists everywhere if you believe in wonder—and if you're kind to all creatures, even the ones who seem different."
Max smiled, patting Buster's head. Some secrets are meant to be kept, and some magic is meant to be cherished forever.
