Mango and the Star That Fell

Mango was no ordinary cat. She had fur the color of sunshine and eyes like two polished emeralds. Every morning, she would climb the tallest palm tree in her village and watch the ocean sparkle.

One Tuesday, something magical happened. As Mango sat on the swaying palm frond, a tiny shooting star zipped across the blue sky and landed—plop!—right into the palm of her paw.

It wasn't a rock. It wasn't a bug. It was a glowing, golden vitamin, unlike anything Mango had ever seen. It pulsed with warmth and smelled like fresh strawberries.

"What are you?" Mango meowed.

The little vitamin twinkled. "I'm a Star Vitamin! I fell from the sky because someone down here needs me. But I forgot who!"

Mango's heart beat faster. An adventure! "I'll help you find them!"

Together, the cat and her glowing new friend climbed down from the palm tree and trotted through the village. They visited Mrs. Lopez, who made the best tortillas. "Oh my," she said, "my knees have been so tired lately."

The Star Vitamin wiggled excitedly!

They found old Señor Miguel sitting alone on his porch. "I haven't felt like playing guitar in weeks," he sighed. "I think I forgot how to be happy."

The Star Vitamin glowed brighter than ever!

When Mango placed the vitamin in Señor Miguel's wrinkled palm, something wonderful happened. Golden sparkles swirled around him. His eyes widened. His smile returned, bigger than before. He grabbed his guitar and played the merriest tune anyone had ever heard!

"Thank you, little cat," the Star Vitamin whispered. "My work is done."

Mango watched as her friend dissolved into a thousand sparkles that rained down upon the whole village. Everyone felt lighter that day. Everyone smiled more.

That night, Mango climbed her palm tree again, purring softly. She had learned something important: sometimes the smallest gifts—a friendship, a kindness, a helping hand—are exactly what someone needs to shine again.

And every so often, when the villagers looked up at the night sky, they swore they could still see tiny golden stars winking back at them, like little Star Vitamins waiting to fall.
