Mango and the Lightning Storm

orangelightningcat

Mango was not an ordinary cat. His fur was the color of a ripe orange, and he had a secret—he loved lightning storms.

While other animals hid under beds and in closets when thunder rumbled, Mango sat by the window, his golden eyes wide with wonder. He watched the streaks of light across the sky like a child watching fireworks.

One rainy afternoon, a lightning bolt struck the old oak tree in their backyard. CRACK! BOOM!

Mango's owner, a little girl named Lily, screamed and hid under her blanket. But Mango trotted outside, his orange tail held high.

Something amazing happened. Where the lightning had struck, there grew a tree with glowing orange leaves. And from its branches fell tiny orange berries that hummed with electricity—like tiny lightning balls!

Mango gathered one in his mouth and carried it back to the house. He placed it gently on Lily's nightstand.

Lily peeked from under her blanket. The berry glowed softly, warm and comforting, like a little nightlight made of magic. It chased away the scary shadows.

"You're not scared?" Lily whispered, petting Mango's orange fur.

Mango purred. The storm wasn't something to fear—it was beautiful magic.

That night, Lily and Mango watched the lightning together, no longer afraid. They learned that sometimes the things that seem scary are actually just nature showing off its wonder.

And every time a storm came after that, Mango would bring another glowing orange berry to share the magic with others who were afraid.

Because true friends help you see the wonder, even in the dark.
