Mango and the Crystal Deep

Mango was not your ordinary orange tabby cat. While other cats chased mice and napped in sunbeams, Mango dreamed of adventures beneath the waves.

One morning, something strange washed up on the beach near Mango's home. It wasn't a shell or seaweed — it was a thick, shimmering cable that seemed to glow with an inner light. The cable stretched from the sandy shore straight down into the deep blue water, pulsing like a heartbeat.

Curious, Mango padded to the water's edge. But just as his whiskers twitched to touch the mysterious cable, the ocean itself spoke.

"Not so fast, little friend," rumbled the waves, their voice ancient and kind.

Mango's emerald eyes widened as seafoam transformed into a magnificent water dragon named Coral. Her scales flowed like liquid sapphires, and her mane sparkled with captured starlight.

"The cable calls to you," Coral said gently. "It leads to the Crystal Pyramid, where the Ocean's Greatest Treasure waits. But only the pure of heart may enter."

Mango's tail twitched with excitement. "I may be small, but my heart is big!"

Coral smiled, and the orange cat found himself shrinking until he could breathe underwater. He swam down, following the glowing cable deeper and deeper, past schools of glittering fish and gardens of swaying kelp.

At the end of the cable sat the Crystal Pyramid — not made of stone like the ones in books, but of living ice that hummed with rainbow light. Inside, Mango discovered the treasure: a single drop of water that held every ocean memory — every dolphin's laugh, every whale's song, every sailor's prayer.

"Take it home," Coral appeared beside him. "Share these stories with those who've forgotten the magic of the sea."

Mango surfaced with the glowing drop cupped safely in his paw. That night, he told the whole village tales of underwater cities and singing whales, and the water drop became a pool where children could see their own ocean dreams.

And every morning, Mango returned to the beach, where the cable still waited, ready for the next adventure.
