Luna's Midnight Magic
Luna was a small black cat with bright yellow eyes, and she loved running through the garden at midnight. While all the other cats slept, Luna explored. She believed the moonlight held secrets.
One Tuesday, Luna discovered something new. Behind the old oak tree stood a curious fenced area with a blue glass floor. Humans called it a padel court, but Luna had never seen it glow like this before.
The blue surface sparkled beneath the full moon. Luna's whiskers twitched with curiosity. She crept closer, her paws silent on the grass.
Suddenly, the court began to hum. Tiny lights floated up from the glass surface—fireflies? No, something more magical. They danced around Luna, and she found herself running after them, her paws barely touching the ground.
"Wait!" she meowed, but cats cannot speak human words. Yet something heard her.
An old owl landed on the fence. "Only the brave-hearted find the Moon Court," he hooted wisely. "Tonight, the padel court grants wishes."
Luna didn't understand completely, but she felt something warm in her chest. She thought of her friend Mittens, an old cat who couldn't jump like he used to. She wished he could dance under the moonlight one more time.
The fireflies swirled faster. The blue floor turned to silver. When Luna opened her eyes, Mittens stood beside her, his fur shining like starlight. He leaped gracefully, chasing moonbeams with the energy of a kitten.
They ran together until dawn, two cats dancing on magical glass. As the sun peeked over the hills, the court returned to normal. Mittens stretched, old again but smiling.
"Thank you, little friend," he purred. Luna understood some gifts are meant to be shared.
Now every full moon, Luna runs to the padel court. Sometimes the magic comes, sometimes it doesn't. But Luna learned that the best wishes are the ones we make for others.
