Luna and the Starlight Pool

Luna was a small black cat with white paws that looked like marshmallows. Every night, she tiptoed through the garden while her family slept, chasing fireflies and making wishes on falling stars.

One evening, Luna noticed something unusual. Behind the old oak tree, a pool of water shimmered with colors she had never seen before — pinks like cotton candy, blues like the summer sky, and golds like honey.

Curious, Luna crept closer. The pool wasn't ordinary water at all. Floating on top were hundreds of tiny, glowing drops that twinkled like miniature stars.

A wise old turtle poked his head from the water. "These are starlight vitamins," he explained. "Every night, they fall from the sky and collect here. They give creatures special gifts — courage for the fearful, speed for the slow, and kindness for the grumpy."

Luna's eyes grew wide. "Could I try one?"

The turtle smiled. "Only if you promise to use your gift to help someone else."

Luna nodded eagerly and lapped up a glowing pink drop. Suddenly, her fur began to sparkle like sugar, and she felt warmth spread through her chest.

Nearby, a sad little firefly sat on a leaf, his light barely flickering. "I've lost my glow," he sniffled. "The other fireflies won't let me dance with them tonight."

Luna knew what to do. She touched her nose to the firefly's back, and the warmth from her starlight vitamin flowed into him. His light burst forth, brighter than ever!

The firefly zoomed around Luna, leaving trails of sparkles. "Thank you! Now I can join the firefly festival!"

That night, Luna watched from the garden as her friend danced among hundreds of fireflies, painting the night with light. The starlight pool had taught her something wonderful: the best magic isn't the kind that makes you special — it's the kind that helps someone else shine.

From then on, Luna visited the pool often, always leaving with a different glow in her heart and a new friend to help.
