Luna and the Starlight Court

Luna had the most extraordinary hair in her village. It wasn't just curly—it sparkled like tiny stars whenever she laughed. Her grandmother said it was magic, but Luna thought that was just a nice story.

One evening, while sitting by the babbling water behind her house, Luna noticed something strange. A sleek black cat with bright green eyes was watching her from across the stream.

"Hello there," Luna said softly.

To her surprise, the cat replied, "Hello, Luna. I've been waiting for you."

The cat's name was Whiskers, and he told Luna about a secret place deep in the forest—a magical padel court where moonlight fairies danced and played every night.

"But why me?" Luna asked.

"Because," Whiskers said, "your hair holds stardust, and only children with star-magic can see the court."

That night, Luna followed Whiskers through the forest until they came to a clearing where a glowing padel court floated above the ground. Tiny fairies with wings like moonbeams were hitting a ball of pure light back and forth. Each time they struck it, sparks rained down like glitter.

The eldest fairy, a wise creature named Luma, floated toward Luna. "We've been waiting for someone special," she said, pressing a small glowing vitamin into Luna's palm. "This is a star vitamin. It will help your magic grow stronger."

Luna swallowed it, and suddenly her hair began to glow brighter than ever before, casting a warm light over the whole court.

"Every night, you may return," Luma said. "Your magic brings joy to others. That is its purpose."

Luna visited the secret court many times after that, and she learned that magic wasn't about being special—it was about sharing wonder with everyone around her. Her hair still sparkled when she laughed, but now she made sure to laugh often, spreading stardust wherever she went.

And sometimes, if you look carefully at the moonlight reflecting on water, you might still see Whiskers the cat, waiting for the next child whose heart holds a little bit of starlight.
