Luna and the Star Bull's Pool

Luna loved exploring the forest behind her grandmother's cottage. Every evening, she would watch the sun paint the sky pink and orange, then slip behind the hills. But her favorite time was when the stars came out.

One night, Luna followed a path she had never noticed before. It wound through ancient trees with leaves that shimmered like silver in the moonlight. At the end of the path, she gasped.

A hidden pool glowed with soft blue light. The water wasn't just water—it was liquid starlight, bubbling and sparkling with tiny points of light.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" a deep voice rumbled.

Luna turned to see a magnificent bull standing beside her. But this wasn't an ordinary bull. His coat was the color of midnight blue, dotted with glowing stars that twinkled as he moved. His horns were made of crescent moons.

"I'm Orion," the bull said gently. "And you've found my pool."

"What makes it glow?" Luna asked, reaching out to touch the water.

"Starlight vitamins," Orion explained with a wink. "Every night, I catch falling stars and dissolve them into the pool. When creatures swim here, they receive starlight vitamins—special gifts of courage, kindness, and creativity."

Luna's eyes widened. "Can I swim?"

Orion nodded. "But remember, the magic only works if you share what you receive."

Luna dipped her toes into the glowing water. It felt warm, like a hug. She jumped in!

Instantly, she felt wonderful. Her arms grew strong, her heart felt braver, and her mind filled with beautiful ideas. She splashed and played while Orion watched.

When she climbed out, something magical happened. Tiny glowing drops fell from her hair and onto the forest floor. Where each drop landed, flowers bloomed instantly—flowers that would never fade.

"You shared the magic without even trying," Orion said, smiling. "That's the secret."

Every night after that, Luna returned to swim with Orion. And every time she did, she brought something wonderful back to her village—sometimes flowers, sometimes songs she composed, sometimes just the courage to be kind to someone who needed a friend.

The star bull's pool taught Luna that the best magic isn't meant to be kept. Like vitamins for the soul, it only works when you share it with others. And that, she discovered, was the greatest adventure of all.
