Lily's Run to Magic
Lily loved running through her grandmother's garden, especially on golden afternoons when the sun made everything sparkle. But today, something magical happened.
She was running past the old fishpond when she spotted something extraordinary—a small crystal pyramid rising from the water's surface. Inside swam a goldfish with scales that shimmered like liquid sunshine.
"You're finally here!" the goldfish called out in a bubbly voice.
Lily stopped running and leaned over the pond's edge. "You can talk?"
"Of course! I've been waiting for someone with a kind heart to find my pyramid." The goldfish swam closer to the crystal walls. "This pyramid holds a special magic, but I need your help."
"What kind of help?" Lily asked, her eyes wide with wonder.
"The pyramid's magic only works when someone runs three circles around it while thinking of their best wish. But you must run with joy in your heart, not just speed."
Lily's heart leaped. She started running around the pond, thinking of her wish—that her grandmother's garden would bloom forever. With each circle, she felt lighter, happier. The goldfish swam in time with her running, leaving trails of golden bubbles.
On the third circle, the crystal pyramid began to glow. Suddenly, flowers bloomed all around the pond—roses, lilies, daisies—in every color imaginable.
"Your wish came true!" the goldfish cheered. "And because you ran with such joy, the magic will last forever."
From that day on, Lily ran to the pond every afternoon. She and the goldfish became best friends, and the garden remained the most beautiful place in the whole world.
"The best magic," the goldfish would say, "is the kind we create together with friendship in our hearts."
And every time Lily ran, she remembered that some of life's greatest adventures begin with a single step into the unknown.
