Lily's Magical Summer Hat

Lily loved summer mornings at the community pool. Her mom always packed her swim bag with a colorful towel, goggles, and a chewy orange **vitamin** for extra energy.

One hot Tuesday, Lily found something unusual on the pool deck—a floppy straw **hat** decorated with sparkly seashells. No one claimed it, so she tried it on.

Suddenly, the water began to shimmer like diamonds. Lily dipped underwater and discovered she could breathe!

Deep below the surface, she met Barnaby, a friendly blue **bull** with silver horns and a fish tail. "I'm the last Sea Bull," he said sadly. "My friends moved to cooler waters when the pool grew too warm."

Lily wanted to help. She remembered her mom's **iPhone** in her towel bag—her mom said she could use it for emergencies. This counted!

She popped up, grabbed the phone with wet hands, and called Mr. Henderson, the pool manager. "There's a Sea Bull who needs help!" she explained. "The water's too warm!"

Mr. Henderson thought Lily was imagining things, but he agreed to check the temperature. The pool thermometer was broken! The heater had been running all night.

Once the water cooled, Lily went **swimming** with Barnaby again. More Sea Bulls appeared—golds, greens, and purples—frolicking in the refreshing pool.

"Thank you, Lily!" Barnaby said. "You saved our home!" He nudged a beautiful pearl toward her.

That night, Lily placed the magical hat and pearl on her nightstand. She learned that paying attention to small things—even a forgotten hat—could lead to wonderful adventures and new friends.

And every summer after, Lily made sure the pool stayed just right for her magical friends.
