Lily's Deep Water Dream
Lily loved exploring behind her grandmother's old house. Every Saturday, she'd wander through the tall grass, discovering magical treasures. One sunny morning, she spotted something strange glistening near the pond—a thick, silvery cable disappearing into the water.
"What could this be?" Lily wondered. Her curly red hair bounced as she knelt closer. She gave the cable a gentle tug, and suddenly, bubbles rose from the water like tiny pearls. Pop, pop, pop!
A head popped up! It was a tiny blue dragon with sparkling scales and rainbow-colored hair flowing like seaweed.
"Thank you for pulling my cable!" the dragon said in a squeaky voice. "I'm Finn, and I've been stuck down there for days. My family's magic vitamin fell into the deepest part of the water, and without it, our underwater home is losing its glow."
Lily's eyes grew wide. "A magic vitamin? How can I help?"
"Your hair!" Finn said excitedly. "Red hair like yours has special power in our water. It glows when near magic! If you dive with me, your hair will light the way to the vitamin."
Lily took a deep breath and jumped into the water. Amazingly, she could breathe! Her red hair shimmered like a beacon, guiding them through crystal caves and past singing fish. Finally, in the deepest corner, something golden sparkled—a tiny crystal vitamin pulsing with light.
"You found it!" Finn cheered. "Now our home will shine forever!"
Back on shore, Finn pressed something into Lily's hand—a beautiful blue scale. "Friends share magic," he said. "Whenever you need adventure, just hold this and think of water."
Lily ran home, hair dripping, heart full. Some treasures aren't things you keep—they're the friendships you make and the courage to help others, even in the deepest waters.
