Lila and the Lightning Pyramid

Lila loved swimming more than anything. Every summer day, she'd dive into the cool blue lake near her house, pretending she was a mermaid exploring an underwater kingdom.

One afternoon, dark clouds gathered. Thunder rumbled like a giant's tummy. Lila's mother called, "Come inside! There's a storm coming!"

But Lila saw something shimmer beneath the water's surface—something golden and pointed. She needed just one quick look.

She dove into the water, and there it was: a tiny golden pyramid resting on a crystal pedestal. Unlike anything she'd seen before, it pulsed with a warm, welcoming glow, even though the sky above grew darker.

Suddenly, lightning cracked across the sky! The flash reflected on the pyramid, and it burst to life, spinning rapidly. A small blue fish with glowing scales swam out from inside the pyramid.

"Thank you for waking me!" the fish bubbled. "I'm Finn, the Lightning Keeper. For a hundred years, I've slept in this pyramid, waiting for someone brave enough to visit during a storm."

Lila's eyes widened. "I'll help you!" she said without thinking.

Finn smiled. "The lightning needs to return to the clouds. Will you swim with me?"

Hand in fin, they shot upward through the water like lightning itself. Lila had never swum so fast! They broke through the surface just as another lightning bolt flashed—except this time, Finn caught it in his scales like a glowing butterfly.

"Real courage isn't about not being scared," Finn whispered as they floated back down. "It's about doing what's right even when you ARE scared. You were brave enough to discover something magical."

He pressed the lightning into the pyramid, which now sat on the lake's shore. "Keep this safe. Whenever you need courage, hold it and remember: adventure awaits those who dare to look beneath the surface."

Lila swam back to shore, the golden pyramid clutched tight. That night, as lightning danced across her bedroom window, she smiled, knowing that the best adventures often begin when you're brave enough to explore the unknown—especially with a new friend by your side.
