Leo's Stormy Hair Adventure
Leo had the craziest hair in town. Every morning, his red curls stuck up like tiny flames, and his mom said it looked like lightning caught in a boy's head. He didn't mind. His hair made him feel special.
One Saturday, Leo's baseball team was playing the biggest game of the season. The sky grew dark as clouds gathered above the field. CRACK! Lightning flashed across the sky, and thunder shook the ground. But Leo couldn't leave — his team needed him. He was up to bat!
As Leo stepped to the plate, the wind whipped his hair straight up. He looked like a little flame against the stormy sky. The pitcher threw the baseball. Leo swung his bat with all his might. WHOOSH!
Suddenly, a massive bull appeared at the edge of the field. But this wasn't an ordinary bull — his fur was golden like sunshine, and his horns were made of actual lightning bolts! The bull trotted toward Leo as the baseball sailed through the air.
"You have brave hair," the bull rumbled gently. Leo blinked. The bull could talk!
"I'm Buster," the bull said. "I visit children who are brave enough to do scary things. You stayed to help your team even though the storm frightened you."
The baseball landed safely in the outfield. Leo's teammates cheered!
"Your hair shows your courage," Buster said, nudging Leo's hand with his soft nose. "Never be ashamed of what makes you different. The things that make you strange also make you strong."
Buster touched Leo's shoulder with his lightning horn. A warm tingle spread through Leo's body. When he looked down at his baseball glove, it glowed with golden light.
"Whenever you feel afraid," Buster whispered, "remember that lightning hair runs through your heart. You are braver than you know."
With a flash that outshone the storm, Buster vanished. The clouds broke, and sunshine spilled across the baseball field.
Leo's team won the game! But more importantly, Leo learned something wonderful: being different wasn't just okay — it was magical. And from that day on, whenever he saw lightning streak across the sky, he smiled, knowing his friend Buster was somewhere, watching over another brave kid with wild, wonderful hair.
