Leo's Pyramid of Dreams
Ten-year-old Leo loved baseball more than anything in the world. Every day after school, he'd grab his favorite bat and practice swinging until the stars came out. But nobody knew his secret wish – he dreamed of finding magic.
One evening, while digging for a lost baseball near the old oak tree, Leo's fingers brushed against something smooth and rectangular. He pulled it from the dirt – an ancient iPhone, covered in roots but strangely glowing.
When Leo pressed the home button, the screen shimmered like water. Suddenly, a tiny goldfish swam into view, her scales glittering with rainbow light.
"You found me!" the goldfish bubbled, her voice sounding like wind chimes. "I've been trapped for a hundred years, waiting for someone with a true heart."
Leo's eyes went wide. "You can talk?"
"I can do much more," said the goldfish. "Tonight, when the moon rises, a magical pyramid will appear in your backyard. But only someone who can hit three perfect baseballs through its golden doors can enter."
That night, Leo stood ready as moonlight painted his backyard silver. Sure enough, a glowing pyramid rose from the grass, its doors shimmering like liquid gold.
Leo swung his bat – WHACK! The first baseball sailed true through the left door. WHACK! The second pierced the center. WHACK! The third flew through the right door, and suddenly Leo was inside.
But there were no treasures or jewels. Instead, the pyramid was filled with thousands of glowing baseballs, each one pulsing with light.
The goldfish appeared beside him, now life-sized and magnificent. "These aren't ordinary baseballs," she explained. "Each one holds a dream from a child who believed in magic. By opening the pyramid, you've unleashed all those dreams back into the world."
Leo woke up in his bed, the old iPhone gone. But in his pocket, he found a single golden baseball that glowed whenever he held it. From that day on, whenever Leo saw another kid with a secret wish, he'd share his magical baseball and remind them: dreams, like baseballs, are meant to be hit far and wide.
And somewhere, swimming through starlight, the goldfish smiled, knowing she'd found the one true heart who could unlock the magic of believing.
