Leo's Magical Lightning Catch

Leo loved baseball more than anything. Every afternoon, he practiced in his backyard, swinging his favorite bat until the sun went down. But Leo had a secret friend — a tiny orange goldfish named Finny who lived in a bowl on his windowsill.

One stormy evening, as Leo watched Finny swim lazy circles, something strange happened. The goldfish leaped straight out of her bowl!

"Wait!" Leo cried, but Finny didn't fall. Instead, she glowed like a tiny star and grew until she was the size of a real baseball, floating beside him.

"Toss me!" Finny said in a bubbly voice.

Leo couldn't believe it! His pet goldfish was a magical baseball! He gently tossed Finny into the air and swung his bat — *whoosh* — Finny zoomed through the backyard like a shooting star, leaving trails of sparkling water that turned into rainbows in the dim light.

Just then, lightning flashed across the sky. CRACK! The thunder rumbled like a giant's drum.

"Again!" Finny cheered. But this time, as Leo's bat touched her, something amazing happened. A bolt of lightning shot from Finny's scales, straight up into the storm clouds. The clouds parted, revealing a beautiful patch of starlight where rain began to fall.

Finny shrank back to her normal size and splashed safely into her bowl. She smiled with a fishy grin. "You hit a home run for sunshine, Leo!"

The next morning, Leo's backyard was covered in tiny wildflowers that had sprung up where Finny's magical rain had fallen. His baseball team couldn't believe it when Leo told them the story.

"But goldfish can't talk," his friend Miguel said.

"That's what makes it magic," Leo whispered with a wink.

From then on, Leo understood something important: the best adventures come from the most unexpected friendships, and magic hides everywhere — even in a tiny fish bowl.

Sometimes, when storm clouds gather, Leo still wonders if Finny might leap out again for another lightning baseball game under the stars.
