Leo's Magical Garden Splash
Leo stared at his plate of spinach. His stomach felt as wobbly as Jell-O. Tomorrow was the big baseball tryouts, and he was too nervous to eat.
"You'll never hit a home run on an empty stomach," said a tiny voice.
Leo looked around. No one was there. Then he spotted it — a tiny goldfish swimming through the AIR above his kitchen table!
"I'm Finny," the goldfish chirped, doing a backflip. "And you need magic courage soup!"
Finny splashed magical sparkles onto the spinach. Suddenly, the leaves turned shimmering silver.
"Try it!" Finny bubbled.
Leo took a bite. CRUNCH! It tasted like starlight and rainbows mixed together. His arms tingled with strength.
"Now grab your baseball glove!" Finny exclaimed. "We're going on an adventure!"
Finny led Leo to the garden, swimming through the night sky like a shooting star. In the moonlight, the vegetables had grown enormous — cucumbers as big as canoes, tomatoes like bouncing balls.
"Swimming through this garden is my favorite thing," Finny said, gliding between giant sunflowers. "But tonight, we have a mission."
In the garden's center stood a magical baseball diamond made of glowing flowers. Finny explained, "Every time you practice believing in yourself, the flowers bloom brighter."
Leo gripped his bat. He imagined the spinach magic flowing through him. He swung — WHOOSH! — and hit a flower-ball into the sky. It exploded into golden sparkles.
"Again!" cheered Finny, swimming circles around him.
Leo practiced all night, each swing making the garden more beautiful. By dawn, he wasn't nervous anymore. He knew the real magic wasn't in the spinach — it was inside him all along.
"Thank you, Finny!" Leo hugged his fishy friend.
"Anytime," Finny winked, diving into the birdbath with a splash. "Remember — courage is like swimming. You just have to keep moving!"
At tryouts, Leo hit three home runs. And at dinner that night, he finished every bite of spinach without being asked.
