Leo's Magical Baseball Surprise

Leo loved playing baseball in his backyard. Every day after school, he'd practice hitting the ball into the fence. Crack! The ball would fly through the air.

One cloudy afternoon, Leo was playing when suddenly — FLASH! — a bolt of lightning struck the old oak tree. Out fell a tiny glowing creature, no bigger than a firefly.

'Oh no!' squeaked the little creature. 'I'm stuck!'

Leo couldn't believe his eyes. This was the most amazing thing ever!

The tiny creature explained she was a Storm Sprite, responsible for making rainbows after storms. But she'd lost her magic dust and couldn't fly back to the clouds.

Leo wanted to help. He remembered his grandmother gave him special vitamin chews that made him feel strong. Maybe they would help the Storm Sprite too!

'Wait here!' said Leo, running inside. He grabbed the orange bottle from the kitchen cabinet.

The Storm Sprite nibbled the vitamin chew. Suddenly, she began to glow brighter than ever! Zoom! She shot up into the sky like a shooting star.

'Thank you, Leo!' she called down. 'From now on, you'll be my Earth Spy. Watch for my rainbows!'

Every time it rained, Leo would spy the most beautiful rainbow arcing across the sky. And he knew his magical friend was saying hello.

Leo learned that the most wonderful surprises can happen when you least expect them. Sometimes, helping someone in need leads to the best adventures of all.
