Leo's Lightning Baseball Adventure
Leo loved baseball more than anything in the world. Every day after school, he would grab his glove and run to the park, dreaming of hitting the perfect home run. But there was one problem — Leo was the worst player on his team.
One stormy afternoon, as Leo sat by his window watching the rain, a brilliant flash of lightning struck the old oak tree in his yard. Curiosity bubbling, he rushed outside and discovered a small, glowing orange capsule where the bolt had hit. A tiny note attached read: "One Magical Vitamin of Courage — take before your big game!"
Leo's heart raced with excitement. Could this be his chance to finally shine? The next morning, he swallowed the glowing vitamin with his orange juice. Suddenly, he felt a warm tingle spread through his whole body, like sunshine bubbling in his tummy.
At the championship game that afternoon, Leo stepped up to the plate. The pitcher wound up and threw the baseball. CRACK! Leo hit it so hard that the ball sailed over the fence, over the trees, and clear across the neighborhood! His teammates rushed him, cheering wildly.
But what happened next was even more amazing. Leo's mom had been recording the game on her iPhone, and when they watched the replay, they saw something incredible — sparks of actual blue light trailing from Leo's bat as he swung!
"I knew you could do it!" shouted his best friend Maya, giving him a high-five. "You didn't need magic — you just needed to believe in yourself!"
Leo looked at the empty vitamin wrapper in his pocket and smiled. Maybe the magic wasn't in the vitamin at all. Maybe the real magic had been inside him all along, just waiting for a little courage to come out.
From that day on, Leo became the team's best player, not because of mysterious vitamins or lightning strikes, but because he practiced every single day and never gave up. And sometimes, when he hit a really good ball, he could still see tiny sparkles trailing behind it — a reminder that magic comes in many forms, especially when you believe in yourself.
