Leo's Island Discovery

Leo loved exploring his grandmother's attic. Rain drummed on the roof as he dug through dusty boxes, until something glinted in the shadows. An old iPhone, its screen cracked but still somehow shimmering with tiny golden sparks.

Grandma had said this phone was special. It belonged to his great-grandfather, who claimed it could show hidden worlds. Leo's fingers trembled as he touched the screen. Rainbow light swirled around him, and suddenly the attic vanished.

Warm sand tickled his toes. Coconut palm trees stretched toward a sky painted in swirling purples and pinks. But these weren't ordinary palms—their leaves whispered in gentle voices, dancing in a breeze that smelled like vanilla and sunshine.

"Welcome, small friend!" rustled the tallest palm. "We've been waiting so long for someone to help Barnaby."

Behind the palm trees sat the saddest bull Leo had ever seen. Barnaby's enormous brown body was hunched under a mango tree, tears plopping onto his hooves.

"Nobody wants to play with me," Barnaby sniffled. "I'm too big and clumsy. I accidentally squashed the rabbits' garden and knocked over the monkeys' banana tree."

The iPhone in Leo's hand pulsed with warm light, showing an image of Barnaby lifting baby birds to their nests high in the branches.

"Barnaby!" Leo gasped. "You're not clumsy—you're perfect for giving rides! The little animals can't reach the highest branches, but you can!"

The bull's eyes widened. "You really think so?"

The palm trees whispered excitedly as baby rabbits, squirrels, even a tiny mouse scrambled onto Barnaby's broad back. The bull walked carefully, proudly, giving his passengers the best view of the magical island. The iPhone glowed brighter with every happy giggle.

"Thank you, Leo!" Barnaby called as rainbow light swirled again. "You'll visit us again, won't you?"

Back in the attic, rain still drummed on the roof. But the iPhone's screen wasn't cracked anymore. It showed a beautiful picture: a bull giving rides under a palm tree sunset. And Leo knew that sometimes, the most wonderful friendships begin with being different in exactly the right way.
