Leo's Garden Magic

Leo was lying on the grass watching clouds when his mom's iPhone buzzed with a low battery warning. He'd been using it to play games all morning. Suddenly, a tiny sparkle caught his eye. A glowing butterfly, no bigger than his thumb, fluttered down and landed on a spinach leaf in Mom's garden.

"Hello!" the butterfly said in a voice like chiming bells. "I'm Bella, and I need your help!"

Leo sat up, amazed. "You can talk?"

"Of course!" Bella's wings shimmered. "I'm making a Magic Vitamin Potion for the garden, but I'm missing the secret ingredient. Will you help me find it?"

Leo nodded excitedly. "But what's a Magic Vitamin Potion?"

"It makes plants grow taller and flowers shine brighter!" Bella explained. "But I can't tell you the secret ingredient—you have to discover it yourself!"

Leo forgot all about the iPhone. He started running through the garden, looking everywhere. He checked behind the rosebushes and under the tomato plants. He searched near the old oak tree and around the compost pile.

The iPhone lay forgotten in the grass, its charging cable tangled beside it. Leo was too busy having an adventure to care about screens now.

Suddenly, he spotted something unusual. A single spinach leaf was glowing with soft green light. When he touched it, the leaf shimmered like a emerald.

"Bella!" Leo called. "I found it! The spinach leaf is glowing!"

Bella fluttered over, her eyes wide with delight. "You found it! The secret ingredient is a spinach leaf that's been kissed by morning dew and sunshine!"

Together, they added the glowing spinach to Bella's potion. The mixture bubbled and sparkled, then floated up into the air like green fireworks. Everywhere the sparkles landed, plants perked up and flowers opened their petals.

"Thank you, Leo!" Bella said. "You're a real Garden Guardian now!"

That night, Leo showed his mom the thriving garden. The spinach was taller than ever, and the roses were blooming brilliantly.

"Maybe tomorrow," Leo said, "we could work in the garden together instead of using screens. The real magic vitamin is spending time outside with people you love!"

His mom smiled and hugged him. "I think that's the best idea I've ever heard."
