Goldfish's Secret Mission

Lily loved her pet goldfish, Bubbles. He was the most ordinary-looking fish - orange scales, googly eyes, and a mouth that opened and closed like a little 'O'. Every day after school, Lily would sprinkle fish food into his bowl and watch him swim around his plastic castle.

One stormy evening, while lightning flashed across the sky, Lily noticed something strange. Bubbles wasn't swimming in circles like usual. He was pressing his nose against the glass, watching the storm with what looked like... determination?

Suddenly, the biggest lightning bolt yet struck right outside Lily's window. CRACK! BOOM!

To Lily's amazement, Bubbles began to glow! His orange scales shimmered like tiny stars, and when she looked closer, she could see words forming in the water: SECRET AGENT FISH.

"You're a spy?!" Lily gasped.

Bubbles nodded his fishy head and swam to the surface. More words appeared: I PROTECT PETS FROM BAD DREAMS. THE LIGHTNING GIVES ME MY POWERS.

That night, Lily watched in wonder as Bubbles used his lightning magic to visit other pets' dreams - chasing away nightmares for her neighbor's cat, her grandmother's dog, and even the lonely hamster at school. When the storm passed, Bubbles returned to his normal self.

"Our secret," Lily whispered, pressing her finger to the glass.

Bubbles swam a happy circle. From that night on, Lily never saw her goldfish as ordinary again. Sometimes the smallest friends have the biggest powers, especially when they have someone who believes in them.
