Fox and the Orange Pyramid

Lily was playing padel in her backyard when she spotted something peculiar. A sleek red fox peeked through the fence, its bright eyes watching the ball bounce back and forth.

"Hello there!" Lily called, setting down her padel racket.

The fox didn't run away. Instead, it wagged its tail like a friendly dog and trotted closer. Lily's golden retriever, Max, bounded over, tail wagging furiously. To Lily's surprise, the fox and dog sniffed noses and became instant friends.

"Follow us," the fox seemed to say with a little yip, darting toward the woods behind Lily's house.

Curious, Lily and Max followed. Through the trees they discovered something magical: a small pyramid made entirely of crystal! The afternoon sun caught the crystal, casting rainbows everywhere. But the most wonderful part was the orange glow at the pyramid's tip—an orange so bright and warm it looked like captured sunshine.

The fox nudged Lily's hand gently. She placed her palm on the orange crystal, and suddenly she understood. This was the Friendship Pyramid, and its magic worked only when different creatures became friends. The fox and Max's friendship had awakened its glow.

"Real magic," Lily whispered, "is making friends with someone different from you."

Every afternoon after school, Lily would grab her padel racket, and Max would meet his fox friend at the pyramid's orange glow. They learned that friendship has no boundaries—fox and dog, girl and fox, human and magic.

And sometimes, if you look closely at the edge of the woods, you can still see them: a girl, a dog, and a fox, playing padel together in the shadow of a glowing orange pyramid, where friendship shines brighter than any crystal.
