Fiona Fox and the Lost Phone

Fiona Fox had the softest orange hair in all of Whisper Woods. Well, not hair exactly, but the fluffiest fur any fox had ever had. Every morning, she spent extra time grooming it until it shined like sunshine.

One rainy afternoon, something magical happened. Fiona was hopping over puddles when she spotted something glowing beneath a mushroom. It was small and black, with a shiny screen.

"What in the world?" Fiona wondered. She had seen forest animals carrying similar things. It was an iPhone!

Suddenly, a tiny voice called out, "Wait! That's mine!"

A little mouse named Pip scrambled out from under a fern. "I was bringing that to my grandmother. She needs to see the doctor, and that phone has her appointment."

Fiona's ears perked up. "I can help!"

But the path to Pip's grandmother's house went right past Bruno Bull's meadow. Bruno was big and grumpy, and nobody ever disturbed his nap.

"We'll have to be very quiet," Pip whispered.

As they tiptoed past the meadow, Bruno's enormous head popped up. His dark hair was messy from sleeping.

"Who's there?" Bruno rumbled.

Fiona stepped forward bravely. "We're just passing through, Bruno. We need to help Pip's grandmother."

The old bull sighed. "Nobody ever visits me. Everyone's afraid."

Fiona's heart felt funny. "That's not right. Everyone needs friends."

Bruno's eyes softened. "You're brave, little fox. Here." He reached into his fur and pulled out a bright orange bottle. "My grandmother gave me these vitamin chews. They're supposed to be magical. Take them to Pip's grandmother too."

Fiona and Pip couldn't believe their eyes. The grumpy bull had been kind all along!

When they finally reached Pip's grandmother's house, she had a terrible cough. But as soon as she took one of Bruno's vitamin chews, her face lit up.

"Why, I feel wonderful already!" she exclaimed.

The iPhone chimed - the doctor was calling, right on time.

That evening, Fiona realized something important: sometimes the grumpiest-looking creatures just need a friend, and kindness is the most powerful magic of all.
