Finne's Magical Splash
Lily's pet goldfish, Finne, was no ordinary fish. He had shimmering orange scales and would swim to the glass whenever she entered the room. One sunny morning, Lily was running late for school when her orange vitamin tablet rolled across the table and plunked right into Finne's bowl.
Lily gasped as the vitamin began to glow. The water turned into swirling rainbows, and suddenly, Finne grew larger! Much larger. Soon he was the size of a soccer ball, floating above his bowl.
"Thank you, Lily!" Finne said in a bubbly voice. "That was a Magic Splash Vitamin! Now I can show you my world!"
Before Lily could speak, Finne created a bubble around her, and they were floating through her window, soaring above the town below. She could see children running to catch their school buses, cars honking, and trees dancing in the breeze.
"Where are we going?" Lily asked, her heart racing with excitement.
"To the Crystal Caverns!" Finne announced. "There's something I need to show you."
They traveled through clouds that tasted like cotton candy and past stars that chimed like tiny bells. Finally, they arrived at a magical cave filled with glowing crystals in every color imaginable.
"Why did you bring me here?" Lily asked.
Finne swam to a small, orange crystal that pulsed with light. "To show you that everyone has something special inside them. That vitamin didn't give me magic powers—it just woke up what was already there. And you have magic too, Lily. You've been my best friend, always caring for me, talking to me, believing I was special even when you didn't know I could understand you."
Lily felt warmth spread through her chest. She had always felt different from other kids, spending so much time with her fish instead of playing outside.
"Your magic is kindness," Finne continued. "And that's the most powerful magic of all."
The bubble gently carried them back through the sky and returned Lily to her room just as the school bus pulled up outside. Finne shrank back to his normal size and splashed into his bowl with a happy wiggle of his fins.
"Will I ever see you swim like that again?" Lily whispered, grabbing her backpack.
"Every time you look at me," Finne bubbled. "Now go! You're running late!"
Lily rushed to the bus, but she walked with her head a little higher that day. She had a secret, and more importantly, she had learned that her greatest gift wasn't something she could find in a bottle—it was the love she carried in her heart.
