Fin's Lightning Adventure

Fin was a small goldfish with very big dreams. He lived in a round glass bowl near the window, where he spent his days swimming circles and watching the world outside.

Every afternoon, a girl named Mia would come running past his window. Her sneakers slapped the sidewalk—thump, thump, thump—and Fin would press his fins against the glass, imagining what it would feel like to run too.

"Someday," Fin whispered to the plastic castle in his bowl. "Someday I'll have an adventure."

One evening, the sky turned dark purple. Storm clouds gathered like giant grey mountains. Rain began to fall—drip, drip, then WHOOSH! And then it happened. A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky, brighter than anything Fin had ever seen.

But this wasn't ordinary lightning. It was MAGIC lightning.

As the lightning struck, something amazing happened. The water in Fin's bowl began to glow and sparkle. Tiny bubbles rose around him, lifting him up, up, UP! Suddenly, Fin wasn't in his bowl anymore. He was sliding through raindrops, zooming through the air like a shooting star!

"Whoa!" Fin cried, fins flaring with excitement.

The magical lightning carried him across the yard and straight into the neighborhood swimming pool. The water was cool and deep, perfect for exploring. Fin swam deeper than he'd ever gone before. He discovered shiny tiles at the bottom and chased leaves that floated on top.

Then he noticed something sad—a smaller fish was trapped near the drain, looking scared.

Fin knew what to do. He swam fast and used his strong tail to push the drain cover aside. The little fish swam free!

"Thank you!" she said. "I'm Splash. What's your name?"

"I'm Fin. This is my first adventure!" He did a happy flip in the water.

Suddenly, the magic began to fade. Fin felt himself being pulled back, sliding through raindrops again, until—plop!—he landed back in his very own bowl.

Mia appeared at the window, shaking rain from her umbrella. When she saw Fin doing excited flips around his castle, she laughed.

"Looks like someone had a big adventure today," Mia said, tapping the glass gently.

Fin swam to the front and blew her a fish-kiss bubble. He was still a small goldfish in a small bowl, but now he knew something important: even the smallest fish could have the biggest adventures, and the best adventures are the ones where you help a friend.
