Felix Fox and the Star Garden

Felix Fox was no ordinary forest creature. His orange tail twitched with curiosity as he tended his secret garden behind the waterfall, where ordinary vegetables grew with extraordinary magic. His prize? Glowing emerald spinach that sparkled like tiny stars when moonlight touched its leaves.

One crisp autumn morning, Felix discovered something strange half-buried near his spinach patch—a smooth silver rectangle with a shiny screen. His paw brushed against it, and suddenly the device lit up with colors he'd never seen: purple swirls, golden flashes, and pictures of distant worlds.

"What are you?" Felix whispered, nudging the mysterious iPhone-like object with his nose.

That's when he saw her—a zombie named Zara shuffling between the trees. But she wasn't scary like the stories said. Her green-tinged skin looked sad, not mean. Her eyes were dull and sleepy, like she hadn't truly rested in a hundred years.

Felix's heart thumped. What if she was hungry? What if she needed help?

His grandmother had taught him about the healing spinach—the plants that grew brightest when someone needed them. Felix plucked three shimmering leaves and crept toward Zara.

"Excuse me?" he squeaked. "Would you like some magic spinach?"

Zara turned slowly. "I've been wandering for so long," she mumbled, "but nothing tastes like anything anymore."

"I can taste again!" Zara danced in a circle. "I can FEEL again!"

Felix's mysterious device began chiming music. Zara laughed. "That's my old communicator! I lost it months ago when I was put under a sleeping spell!"

She wasn't a zombie at all—just a magical girl who'd forgotten how to be awake.
