Felix Fox and the Magic Padel Court

Lily loved playing padel with her dad at the old court near the forest. Every Saturday, they'd hit the ball back and forth, laughing as it bounced against the glass walls.

But Lily had a secret. She'd noticed a clever fox with bright orange fur watching them from behind the trees. At first, she thought she was imagining it, but soon she realized the fox was there every week.

"He's like a little spy," Lily giggled to her dad.

One day, Lily's iPhone slipped from her pocket and rolled into the forest. She chased it past the trees and found herself in a magical clearing she'd never seen before.

The fox appeared beside her, his eyes twinkling like stars. "I've been waiting for you, Lily. I'm Felix."

Lily gasped. "You can talk?"

"Only to special children," Felix winked. "Come with me. Someone wants to meet you."

He led her to a beautiful meadow where a massive bull with a golden coat lay peacefully in the sun. Lily felt nervous, but the bull lifted his head and spoke in a voice like gentle thunder.

"Welcome, child. I am Barnaby, guardian of the magical padel court."

Lily's eyes widened. "Magical?"

"Indeed," Barnaby said. "That court is a gateway between worlds. Felix watches over it, making sure only kind-hearted children find their way here."

Felix nudged Lily's hand with his soft nose. "We need your help, Lily. A storm is coming that could seal the gateway forever. We need someone brave to believe in magic."

Lily's heart swelled with courage. "I believe!"

Barnaby smiled. "Then the magic will remain. Whenever you play padel, remember — you're not just playing a game. You're keeping a doorway open for wonder."

Lily hugged Felix goodbye and picked up her iPhone, which now had a tiny paw-print sticker on its case that hadn't been there before.

Every Saturday, Lily still played padel with her dad. And every time, Felix the fox watched from the trees, his orange tail wagging like a happy flame. Sometimes, if she looked closely, Lily could see golden sparkles floating around the court.

Magic was real, and she was its keeper.
