Emma and the Cloud Bull
Emma was not an ordinary girl. Every night, she put on her special star glasses and became a sky spy, watching over the magical creatures that danced above the clouds while the world slept.
One Tuesday, Emma spotted something wonderful — a great, fluffy bull made entirely of white clouds, wandering alone near the moon. His name was Barnaby, and he looked terribly lonely. All the other cloud bulls had floated away to the far side of the sky, but Barnaby was too slow. His cloudy hooves moved like gentle puffs of air.
Emma knew just what to do. In her attic, she found her grandmother's golden padel, an enchanted paddle that had once belonged to the Star Players — magical beings who batted moonbeams back and forth like tennis balls across the night sky.
"Don't be afraid," Emma whispered, climbing onto her broomstick and flying up to meet Barnaby. The cloud bull's eyes were made of tiny twinkling stars, and they looked at her hopefully.
Emma held up the golden padel. A beam of silver moonlight landed on its surface. With a gentle swing, she batted the moonbeam across the sky toward where the other cloud bulls grazed on stardust near Saturn's rings.
*PING!* The sound rippled through the night like a magical bell.
One by one, the cloud bulls looked up. They saw the glowing trail of the moonbeam and followed it back, their cloudy forms floating like cotton candy against the dark blue sky. Soon, Barnaby was surrounded by his herd again, nudging Emma with his soft, misty nose in gratitude.
"Thank you, little spy," the stars seemed to whisper. Emma flew home, her heart full of joy, knowing that sometimes the smallest helpers can make the biggest difference.
From that night on, Emma kept her golden padel close, always ready to help any creature who needed a friend.
