Buster's Magical Baseball Splash
Buster was a small brown dog with floppy ears and a very big dream. Every afternoon, he sat by the fence watching the children play baseball in the park. His tail wagged every time the ball went CRACK into the sky.
One hot Saturday, Buster discovered something magical behind the old oak tree—a sparkling puddle of water that glowed like tiny stars. When he sniffed it, the water smelled like sunshine and happiness. A wise bluebird landed nearby. "This is vitamin water," she chirped. "One sip gives you courage. Two sips give you strength. But three sips—three sips make your dreams come true."
Buster's heart pounded. He wanted more than anything to join the baseball game. He took three quick laps of the magical water.
SUDDENLY—Buster's paws grew bigger! His tail became perfectly balanced for swinging! When a baseball rolled his way, he could count the stitches on it with his nose.
The children gasped when Buster trotted onto the field. "Can I play?" Buster wanted to ask, but instead he barked excitedly. The team captain, a girl named Lily, laughed. "Okay, Buster! You can be our special helper!"
When the ball came flying toward him, time slowed down. Buster leaped higher than any dog had ever jumped, catching the baseball in his mouth. The crowd cheered! For the rest of the game, Buster was amazing. He caught every ball, outran every player, and even helped hit the ball with his tail.
That evening, as the magical water faded from the puddle, Buster felt normal again. But something had changed. The children didn't need magic to love him—they invited him back every day.
Buster learned that sometimes you need a little help to find your courage, but the real magic is friendship and never giving up on your dreams.
