Buster's Golden Discovery

Buster was a small brown dog with floppy ears and a very big heart. Every day, he would trot to Mrs. Willow's garden to visit his best friend — a beautiful goldfish named Goldie who lived in a crystal pond.

One morning, Buster found Goldie looking sad. Her scales, usually shimmering like tiny suns, had turned dull and gray. "I've lost my sparkle," Goldie bubbled sadly. "Without my golden magic, I can't make rainbow ripples anymore."

Buster's tail drooped. He knew exactly what to do! His owner, little Sophie, took a special vitamin every morning that made her strong and healthy. "Goldie needs magic vitamins!" Buster decided.

That afternoon, when Sophie's bottle of orange vitamins rolled under the sofa, Buster discovered something magical — a single glowing vitamin that sparkled like a tiny star. But instead of eating it, Buster had a better idea.

He carried the glowing vitamin carefully in his mouth all the way to Mrs. Willow's garden. "Goldie!" Buster barked happily. "I brought you magic sparkle medicine!"

Goldie swam to the surface and made a small wish. The vitamin didn't fall into the pond — instead, it dissolved into golden dust that floated down like magical confetti. As each speck touched the water, it transformed into hundreds of tiny bubbles.

Goldie did a happy flip, and suddenly her scales began to shine brighter than ever! But something even more wonderful happened — the magic spread throughout the pond. Lily pads bloomed in rainbow colors, dragonflies left trails of glitter, and the water itself began to sparkle like liquid sunshine.

Buster realized something important: the real magic wasn't the vitamin at all. It was friendship — the most powerful medicine in the world. By wanting to help his friend, Buster had created more magic than any vitamin could ever hold.

From that day on, whenever Buster visited Goldie, the pond would shimmer just a little bit brighter. And Sophie never did figure out where that magical vitamin went, but she noticed Buster seemed to glow with happiness whenever he returned from Mrs. Willow's garden.

Some magic, Buster learned, comes in bottles. But the best magic comes from a caring heart.
