Buster's Golden Baseball Team
Buster was not like other bulls. While his friends spent their days sleeping in the shade, Buster loved **baseball**. He would watch the children play through the fence, his big brown eyes following every pitch and swing. 'I wish I could play,' he sighed, leaning his massive head against the wooden fence.
One sunny afternoon, Mittens the orange tabby **cat** noticed Buster watching. 'Why are you so sad, big guy?' she asked, hopping gracefully onto the fence rail. Buster explained his dream of playing baseball, but Mittens just purred. 'Who says you can't? I bet you'd hit the ball farther than anyone!'
Buster's eyes lit up. 'Really? But I don't have a team.'
'I'll join!' said Mittens. 'And my friend Goldie wants to play too.' She pointed to a small bowl on the ground, where a tiny **goldfish** named Goldie swam in happy circles. Goldie was no ordinary fish—she wore a tiny sparkling crown and could float in a magical bubble above her bowl whenever adventure called.
'Three players isn't enough for baseball,' Buster worried.
'Then we'll find more!' Mittens declared. And so they did. Squirrels, rabbits, even a wise old owl joined Buster's team. Every day they practiced, and though Buster was enormous, he moved with surprising grace. Goldie, floating in her magical bubble, became their coach, calling out strategies from above.
When the big game arrived, the other animals laughed at this unusual team. But when Buster stepped up to the plate, his hooves planted firmly in the dirt, something magical happened. The pitcher threw the ball, and Buster swung his custom-made bat—CRACK! The ball sailed over the trees, over the hills, all the way to a sparkly rainbow that had appeared in the sky.
The animals gasped. No one had ever hit a ball that far! Buster's team won, and that day, everyone learned that being different doesn't mean you can't do amazing things. Sometimes the most unexpected friends make the best team.
From then on, every evening, if you looked carefully near the old fence, you might see a bull, a cat, a floating goldfish, and their friends playing baseball under the stars, their laughter carried on the gentle breeze. And somewhere, over the rainbow, that very first baseball Buster hit became the brightest star, shining down on everyone who dares to dream big.
