Bruno's Secret Garden Magic
Bruno was no ordinary bull. While other bulls on Sunnybrook Farm spent their days sleeping in the shade, Bruno loved exploring. His favorite spot was behind the old red barn, where Sophie grew the most magical garden in all the world.
One warm afternoon, Bruno trotted to Sophie's garden and found her jumping up and down. "Bruno! Look at my spinach!" she cried, pointing to a patch of bright green leaves. "It's zombie spinach!"
Bruno tilted his head. Zombie? That sounded scary.
Sophie giggled. "Not real zombies, silly! It's just what I call it because whenever I pick the leaves, they grow back twice as fast! Watch." She gently plucked a handful of leaves, and within seconds, tiny green shoots popped up again. "It never ends. Zombie spinach!"
Bruno let out a happy snort. He loved spinach!
That's when Sophie spotted something special. High up in the tree next to the garden hung a bright orange papaya, perfectly ripe and glowing like a tiny sun. "Oh, Bruno! The papaya is finally ready! My grandpa sent these seeds all the way from a tropical island."
She climbed onto Bruno's broad back, and he lifted her up until she could reach the magical fruit. Together they shared the sweet, sunset-colored papaya while butterflies danced around them.
"You know," Sophie whispered, scratching behind Bruno's ears, "Grandpa says the secret to a happy garden isn't magic seeds or special soil. It's love. Just like how you love helping me every day."
Bruno closed his eyes, feeling warm and happy. He knew she was right. Love was the real magic.
From that day on, Bruno became the guardian of Sophie's garden. He helped plant zombie spinach (which always came back for more snacking), watered the papaya tree, and kept watch over all the growing things. And every evening, Sophie would share her garden's gifts with her best friend.
Because that's what friends do—they share the magic, the food, and most importantly, the love.
