Bernard's Lightning Game
Bernard was a bear who loved adventures more than anything in the forest. One rainy afternoon, while splashing through puddles, he discovered something amazing—a small golden pyramid hidden beneath a fallen log. It shimmered like sunshine even in the gray storm.
Inside the pyramid, tiny lightning bolts danced and sparkled like captured stars. Bernard had never seen anything so magical! As he watched, the pyramid began to glow, and suddenly, a curious fox popped out from behind a tree.
"That's my Lightning Pyramid!" said the fox, whose name was Fiona. "It's my most special treasure. It makes the most exciting games appear!"
Bernard's eyes widened. "Games? I love games!"
Fiona smiled. "The pyramid creates magical padel courts wherever we go. Padel is like tennis but more fun—you hit the ball against walls, and it bounces everywhere like crazy! Want to be my friend and play?"
Bernard had never had a friend before. He usually played alone. But something about Fiona's friendly smile made him say yes.
The pyramid flashed, and instantly, a glowing court appeared. The ball zipped around like happy lightning, bouncing off walls while Bernard and Fiona laughed and ran. Bernard was big and clumsy, but Fiona was patient. She taught him how to hit the ball just right.
When the storm cleared, real lightning painted the sky, but Bernard wasn't scared. He was too busy having the best day ever.
"Thank you for being my friend," Bernard said as the magical court faded away.
"Friends share adventures," Fiona replied. "And there are so many more waiting for us."
Bernard went home that evening with the warmest feeling in his heart. Sometimes the best discoveries aren't things at all—they're the friends who help you find magic you never knew existed.
