Benny's Midnight Baseball Game

Benny lay in his backyard, his curly hair tickling his ears as he watched the stars twinkling above. It was a warm summer night, and he couldn't sleep. Something magical was happening.

Suddenly, a shooting star streaked across the sky — but it didn't fade away. Instead, it grew brighter and bigger, landing softly in the grass beside him. It was his grandfather's old baseball, glowing with a gentle silver light.

"Benny!" whispered a voice behind him. He turned to see the Great Bull constellation galloping down from the night sky! The Bull was enormous but kind, its fur made of stardust and moonlight.

"Will you play baseball with us?" the Bull asked, his voice deep and rumbly like thunder but gentle as a breeze. "The stars are lonely tonight."

Benny's heart soared with wonder! The Bull lowered his giant head, and Benny climbed onto his back. They soared up into the sky where the Milky Way wasn't just a river of stars — it was a baseball diamond!

The moon umpire called, "Play ball!" and the most magical game began. Orion pitched meteors, and Benny hit them with his glowing baseball bat. Each time he connected, rainbows of color exploded across the night sky!

"You're a natural!" cheered the Bull, catching a fly ball in his giant horns. The stars clapped like sparkling fireflies.

Down on Earth, Benny's phone lit up in his bedroom — it was his best friend Luna calling. She'd seen the magical lights from her window! Benny looked down and waved, and Luna pointed up in amazement.

When the game ended, the Bull gave Benny a gentle nuzzle. "Thank you for playing with us. You taught us something important — fun is better when shared with friends."

The Bull carried Benny back to his yard, where Luna was already waiting with her glove. The magical baseball still glowed between them.

"Next time," Luna whispered, "we both play."

Benny smiled, hugging the baseball to his chest. Some adventures are wonderful, but friendship makes them magical. The stars winked above, promising more midnight games to come.
