Benny Bear and the Sleepy Zombie

Benny was no ordinary teddy bear. When the sun set and little Emma drifted to sleep, Benny's button eyes would sparkle with magic. He would tiptoe downstairs to the enchanted garden behind their house, where something wonderful awaited.

Every night, the garden's old padel court transformed into a glowing playground. The racket would shrink to just Benny's size, the ball would shimmer like a tiny moon, and the net would sparkle with stardust.

One starry night, as Benny bounced the magical ball against the wall, he heard a sad groan. Out stumbled a green, shuffling figure with messy hair and dark circles under its eyes. A zombie!

Benny's fur stood on end. Everyone knew zombies were scary. But this zombie didn't want brains. It just rubbed its eyes and sighed.

"I haven't slept in seven days," the zombie mumbled. "I'm too grumpy to play anything."

Benny's heart softened. He remembered how Emma got when she missed her naps. "Want to play padel?" Benny offered, holding out his tiny racket. "It's really fun, and maybe it'll help you feel better."

The zombie's eyes widened. No one had ever offered to play with him before. "But I'm a zombie. Everyone runs away."

"That's because they don't know you," Benny said wisely. "Everyone needs friends, even zombies."

They played until dawn, the zombie's movements becoming lighter with every hit. By morning, he wasn't shuffling anymore—he was skipping!

"Thank you, Benny," the zombie said, his green face glowing with happiness. "You taught me that kindness is better than any scary monster story."

From that night on, the zombie slept soundly, and he and Benny became the best of friends. They learned that the scariest-looking creatures sometimes just need a little kindness—and a good game of padel—to become the most wonderful friends of all.

And every morning, Emma wondered why her teddy bear smelled like adventure and stardust.
