Benny and the Water Bull
Benny loved swimming more than anything. Every summer day, he'd jump into the cool blue water of Old Miller's Pond, splashing and diving until his fingers wrinkled like raisins.
One hot afternoon, something strange happened. As Benny was practicing his underwater swimming, he saw a magnificent creature beneath the surface. It wasn't a fish or a frog — it was a bull! But not just any bull. This bull had shimmering, pearl-colored fur and golden horns that glowed in the sunlight.
The water bull surfaced with a friendly snort. "I'm Ferdinand," he said, his voice sounding like bubbling brooks. "I'm the guardian of this magical pond. Would you like to see something wonderful?"
Benny's eyes widened with wonder. He nodded eagerly.
Ferdinand led him deeper into the water, which felt warm and cozy like a blanket. Suddenly, the pond transformed! The water turned into sparkly rainbow swirls, and tiny glowing fish danced around them.
Then Benny saw them — a group of zombies! But these weren't scary monsters like in movies. They were playful, flower-crown-wearing zombies who floated like corks and did silly underwater dances.
"They're the Pond Party Zombies," Ferdinand explained. "They used to be grumpy until they discovered the magic of friendship and fun. Now they're the happiest creatures in the water!"
The zombie crew waved their leafy arms and invited Benny to dance. He spent the afternoon swimming, twirling, and playing games with his new friends — a magical bull, dancing zombies, and fish that sang tiny songs.
As the sun began to set, Ferdinand whispered, "The magic of this pond isn't in the water. It's in the friends we make and the joy we share."
Benny waved goodbye to his extraordinary friends and swam back to shore, his heart full of happiness. He learned that the best adventures aren't just about what you see, but about who you meet along the way.
From that day on, Benny never looked at swimming the same way. Each splash was a reminder that magic exists everywhere, especially when you open your heart to unexpected friendships.
