Bella and the Magic Pyramid
Bella had the curliest hair in her whole class. It bounced when she walked and sparkled in the sun. But today, her hair drooped. She sighed at her dinner plate.
"I don't want spinach," she told her mom. "Spinach is yucky."
Her mom smiled. "Grandma says spinach gives you magic powers."
Bella rolled her eyes, but she ate one leaf. Suddenly, her bedroom floor began to glow!
A tiny door appeared under her bed. Out peeked a nose—then a whole miniature bull with golden horns and shimmering brown fur.
"I'm Ferdinand," the bull said. "And you're the first person in 100 years to eat the Magic Spinach!"
Bella gasped. "You can talk?"
"Only to magical children," Ferdinand explained. "Come with me! The Water Pyramid needs your help."
He led her through the tiny door into a world where everything sparkled. Trees had leaves of crystal, and flowers hummed soft songs.
In the center stood a magnificent pyramid made entirely of flowing water. But the water was slowing down, trickling instead of cascading.
"The pyramid is dying," Ferdinand said sadly. "It needs someone who believes in magic to make it flow again."
Bella's heart raced. "What should I do?"
"Close your eyes and remember something wonderful," Ferdinand said. "Something that makes you happy."
Bella thought about her curly hair, how it made her feel like a princess. She thought about her mom's hugs, her dad's funny jokes, her best friend's laughter.
She felt warmth spread through her chest. "I believe," she whispered.
The water began to move. Faster and faster, it cascaded up the pyramid in beautiful ribbons of blue and silver. The whole world lit up with sparkles.
"You did it!" Ferdinand cheered. "The Water Pyramid will flow forever now."
Bella opened her eyes. She was back in her room, her curly hair bouncing with energy.
Her mom peeked in. "Did you like the spinach?"
Bella smiled. "It was magical. Can I have more tomorrow?"
That night, Bella dreamed of waterfalls and crystal trees, knowing that magic was real—if you just believed.
