Bartholomah Bear and the Lightning Spinach
In the deepest forest lived a bear named Bartholomew. He was no ordinary bear – he loved vegetables more than honey. His favorite was spinach, which grew in a secret garden behind a waterfall.
One night, a terrible storm swept through the forest. Lightning flashed like silver rivers across the sky, and thunder shook the trees. But this wasn't ordinary lightning – it crackled with purple and green colors, magical and strange.
Bartholomew watched from his cave as a single bolt of the strange lightning struck his spinach garden. The plants glowed and shimmered, their leaves turning brilliant green with tiny sparks dancing around them.
The next morning, Bartholomew ate some of the glowing spinach. Suddenly, his paws tingled with energy. When he started running through the forest, he zoomed faster than he'd ever moved before – faster than the rabbits, faster than the deer!
A little rabbit named Penny watched in amazement. "Bartholomew! You're running as fast as lightning!" she called out.
Bartholomew stopped. "It's the magical spinach!" he explained. "But I feel so lonely being the only one who can run this fast."
Penny's eyes twinkled. "Share the spinach with me! Then we can run together!"
Bartholomew thought for a moment. He could keep the magical spinach all to himself. But running alone wasn't as fun as running with a friend.
He brought Penny to his garden and shared the glowing leaves. Soon they were racing through the forest, side by side, leaving trails of sparkling light behind them. They played tag with the wind and raced falling leaves.
From that day on, Bartholomew learned that the best magic isn't just in special spinach or lightning bolts – it's in sharing wonderful things with friends. Together, every day became an adventure.
