Barnaby's Orange Splash Discovery
Barnaby was a small brown bear who lived at the edge of Sparkle Lake. Every morning, he would watch the other bears splash and play in the water, but Barnaby stayed on the shore. He was afraid of swimming.
One sunny day, Barnaby found something peculiar rolling in the grass—a bright orange fruit he had never seen before. It was round and warm, glowing like a tiny sun.
"Hello there!" said a squeaky voice.
Barnaby jumped. "Who said that?"
"Me! The orange!" The fruit wiggled. "My name is Clementine. I rolled all the way from the magic orchard. Would you like to be friends?"
Barnaby nodded eagerly. He had never talked to a fruit before!
Clementine explained that inside every living thing is a special spark, like a tiny vitamin of magic that gives us courage, strength, and joy. "The water won't be scary if you remember your magic spark," Clementine promised.
So with Clementine cheering from the shore, Barnaby waded into the lake. At first, his paws trembled. But then he felt it—a warm, tingling feeling in his chest, like the glow of an orange sunset. His magic vitamin of bravery!
He kicked his legs. He paddled his paws. And suddenly, Barnaby was swimming! The water wasn't scary at all. It felt like flying, but better.
"You're doing it!" cheered Clementine. "See? You've had the magic inside you all along!"
Barnaby swam all day, splashing and diving. When he finally emerged, his fur glistened like diamonds. He carried Clementine everywhere after that, sharing stories of adventure.
Barnaby learned that sometimes the bravest things feel scary at first, but true friendship—and the magic inside us—can help us do more than we ever dreamed possible.
