Barnaby's Golden Pyramid

Barnaby was not like other bears. While his friends spent their days fishing for salmon, Barnaby spent his days collecting baseballs. He had seventy-three of them, each one polished to a shine.

One sunny afternoon, while playing catch with himself, Barnaby threw his favorite baseball farther than ever before. It disappeared into a thicket of blackberry bushes. When he crawled in after it, he gasped.

There, hidden among the berries, stood a golden pyramid no taller than a honey jar. It shimmered with secrets.

Barnaby touched its smooth surface, and suddenly the pyramid popped open like a treasure chest. Inside floated glowing orbs of every color—tiny, magical vitamins that smelled like sunshine and dreams.

"Take one," whispered a voice like rustling leaves. "But choose wisely."

Barnaby selected a blue vitamin that pulsed like ocean waves. The moment he swallowed it, something extraordinary happened. He could swim! Not just in water, but through the very air itself.

For three days and three nights, Barnaby swam through clouds, raced eagles, and danced with the moon. He saw the world from the sky and made friends with the wind.

But on the fourth day, the magic began to fade. Barnaby found himself drifting downward, tired and alone.

"You forgot something important," the wind whispered. "The best magic is shared."

Barnaby landed softly in his meadow, where his bear friends waited anxiously. They had been searching everywhere for him.

"Where did you go?" asked his best friend, Penny.

Barnaby told them everything—the pyramid, the vitamins, the magical swimming. His friends' eyes grew wide with wonder.

"Take us there!" they cried.

Barnaby led them to the golden pyramid. This time, he chose a handful of rainbow vitamins—one for each friend. Together, they all swallowed the magic.

What happened next was beyond wonderful. The whole bear pack swam together through the starlit sky, playing baseball with the constellations and turning cloud puffs into snow cones.

Barnaby learned something that night: adventures are sweet, but shared adventures are sweeter. The magic wasn't in the vitamins at all—it was in friendship.

And sometimes, the most wonderful discoveries are the ones we make together.
