Barnaby's Brave Discovery
Barnaby was not like other bulls. While they loved to run and chase, Barnaby preferred quiet afternoons reading books under the old oak tree. His best friend, a scruffy little dog named Daisy, would curl up beside him, listening as he read adventure stories aloud.
"I wish I could be brave like the heroes in my books," Barnaby sighed one sunny afternoon. "But I'm just a scaredy-bull."
Daisy nuzzled his nose. "You're brave enough!"
That evening, as Barnaby searched for blackberries in the forest, he noticed something peculiar. A tiny bottle labeled "Bravery Vitamin" glowed near a stream. Inside sat a sparkling orange pill that seemed to dance with light.
"Magic vitamins!" Barnaby gasped. "This is my chance!"
But as he reached for it, Daisy barked sharply. A baby rabbit had tumbled into the rushing water! Without thinking, Barnaby charged forward, using his strong horns to create a bridge against the current. The rabbit scrambled across, shivering but safe.
The mama rabbit hopped over. "Thank you, brave bull! You saved my little one!"
Barnaby blinked. "I... I wasn't thinking. I just acted."
Daisy licked his face. "That's the real bravery, Barnaby! Not in a bottle!"
Barnaby looked at the forgotten vitamin bottle, then at his trembling hooves. He smiled, realizing Daisy was right. True bravery wasn't something you could swallow—it was something that lived inside your heart all along.
From that day on, Barnaby still read his adventure stories, but he knew the best ones were the ones he lived himself, one brave moment at a time, with his best friend always by his side.
