Barnaby and the Sky Pyramid

Barnaby was a small golden dog with floppy ears and a very big imagination. Every night, he dreamed of adventures. But real life was mostly naps and belly rubs, until the night of the big storm.

That night, lightning flashed across the sky like crackling ribbons of light. But this wasn't ordinary lightning — it was purple and sparkled like fairy dust. Each time it flashed, Barnaby saw something amazing in the clouds: a golden pyramid floating in the sky!

"I must climb it!" Barnaby declared, his tail wagging with excitement. He waited by the window until the purple lightning flashed again, then — ZOOM! — he found himself transported to a magical land above the clouds.

There stood the pyramid, shimmering like honey in the sunlight. At its base sat a giant bull with silver horns and a starry coat. The bull was the guardian of the pyramid, and his name was Orion.

"Only the brave may enter," Orion said kindly. "But first, you must answer a riddle. What shines bright but has no flame? What guides travelers home but cannot speak?"

Barnaby thought hard. Then he remembered how the lightning had guided him here. "A star!" he barked happily.

Orion smiled, and his silver horns glowed. "Correct. Your heart is as bright as any star."

Inside the pyramid, Barnaby found the most wonderful treasure: not gold or jewels, but a room filled with dreams! Children's dreams floated like bubbles, each one shining with hope and wonder. Barnaby understood then that the pyramid existed because children believed in magic.

His job was to keep these dreams safe. Barnaby became the Dream Dog, and every night when children slept, he'd run through the sky on lightning bolts, delivering sweet dreams and catching nightmares before they could cause fright.

And sometimes, if you look up during a storm and see purple lightning streaking across the sky, that's just Barnaby, doing his very important job — because every dream deserves a guardian, and every good dog deserves an adventure.
